You've been waiting your whole life for your handsome prints to come. (Buh-dum-DUM). Let us introduce you to Print Society, one of favorite new art shopping outlets. Print Society is a great concept -- artists and galleries from around the world can post images of their prints for free, and consumers can shop the prints from the site. Furthermore, Print Society is built on a social media platform, so you can tag your favorite artists and be updated when they release new prints, you can browse the fave artists of your friends, and you can share your own favorites with your Facebook friends.
And it's an embarrassment of riches, and gift-giving ideas. There are already dozens of artists and around 200 artworks for sale, at prices ranging from a few tenners to a few Benjamins. Feast your eyes (and your wallet) on James Jean, Edwin Ushiro, and so much more gorgeousness. Go now -- most these prints are limited editions.

Here's something that doesn't happen every day. In fact it almost NEVER happens. A new print from Marion Peck!!
The title of the piece is [PARENTAL GUIDANCE SUGGESTED] "Fuck You" and was part of a group show in 2008. This gorgeous print is a signed and numbered giclee printed on archival cotton rag paper and is exclusive to the outstanding gallery Sloan Fine Art.
The edition is extremely limited to 40 pieces, and is already half sold out! So if you want one, email alix@sloanfineart.com PRONTO!

Inventing a new holiday is a tall order -- something that generally only the government or Hallmark attempts, so leave it to multi-faceted Gary Baseman to create the coolest holiday in years. It's called La Noche de la Fusion and it will be celebrated worldwide, or at least in Culver City, California, on Saturday May 2nd. Here's what's in store for us:
50 new Baseman works
Fire performers
Samba dancers
Baseman characters come to life
DJs spinning
Carnival games
Jugglers
Models in Carnival (as in Rio) costumes based on Baseman drawings
And all kinds of debauchery we can't even begin to explain.
And in order to celebrate along with Gary, guests are encouraged to come dressed as you perceive their True Selves. . .in whatever form that may be.
Go to Gary's website for more info. Or just throw caution to the wind and show up for what's sure to be the most talked about event in L.A.

One of our faves, Tasha Kusama, has a fantastic show called "Prismatic" (at some very affordable prices, we might add) at Sloan Fine Art as this hits the web. Buy her work now while it's still affordable, or just enjoy the lovely images.

Shh... Don't tell anyone, but PopDrawer's spies have reported back with a first look at Elizabeth McGrath's upcoming show at Sloan Fine Art. This is the only place you can see the newest genius of Liz on display (that's right, we're talking to you Boing Boing).
The show, Shadowless Summer, opens on the ides of April (the 15th), and the dozen or so sculptures are eye-popping, as usual. PopDrawer LOVES Liz McGrath, and her work continues to stun us. Take a peek at these awesome examples.
And if that isn't enough, Alix Sloan has lined one of PopDrawer's favorite emerging artists, Tasha Kusama, for the project room. We'll try to sneak a preview of Ms. Kusama's work if we can get our spycams into the project room.
Meanwhile, enjoy!
