New Group Show at Roq la Rue

Yumiko Kayukawa

"Tiger Tiger Burning Bright," the new show at the seminal Roq la Rue Gallery in Seattle, brings together an amazing roster of artists.

"A group show based around the theme of tigers, inspired by the dynamic poem " The Tiger" by visionary artist and painter William Blake.
Additionally, 2010 is the Year of the Tiger in the Chinese calendar, and the animal is a very visible example of the environmental problem of habitat loss and rampant poaching, with the reported last wild Indochinese tiger being killed and eaten in December 2009."

Artists include Travis Louis, Yumiko Kayukawa, Audrey Kawasaki, Lisa Petrucci, Angelique Houtkamp, Bob Dob, Anthony Ausgang,
Isabel Samaras, and other greats.

Opening Night Friday, May 14. Preview it here.

"If Only You Were Here"

Two lovely new prints from Audrey Kawasaki are heading our way. The first, "If Only You Were Here" arrives at Ms. Kawasaki's web store this Saturday, July 19th, at 1:00 PM Pacific. It comes in at a large size, 22" x 22", in a signed and numbered edition of 150. Price? $220. And now Ms. Kawasaki is also offering the option of framing. She's hand-picked a perfect white frame that you can add on for an additional $230. Remember that her prints sell out lightning fast, so sign up in her store so that when the time comes all you have to do is log in.

And sometime after "If Only You Were Here," the print "Tear Me" will be released. Another beauty.

New Audrey Kawasaki Print from Pressure Printing

E7908053-1327-4DEC-BF17-BEAA316E685A.jpg

Do you like this print. Get it now. Seriously. NOW. It will be gone shortly. We can almost guarantee it. It may be gone by the time you read this. Don't say we didn't warn you.

Pressure Printing opened the floodgates today for Audrey Kawasaki fans, but only 50 of them. Their newest release is "Okimiyage" by the talented and popular Ms. Kawasaki. Okimiyage means "a parting gift" in Japanese, and as such is a very apt title for this print that will be leaving Printing Pressure's site shortly (when it sells out). The framed print is 8 3/4" x 12 3/4", embossed, and signed and individually hand-colored by the artist. The price is $1500
