New Marion Peck Print!
Here's something that doesn't happen every day. In fact it almost NEVER happens. A new print from Marion Peck!!
The title of the piece is [PARENTAL GUIDANCE SUGGESTED] "Fuck You" and was part of a group show in 2008. This gorgeous print is a signed and numbered giclee printed on archival cotton rag paper and is exclusive to the outstanding gallery Sloan Fine Art.

Art for Hope

No matter which presidential candidate you support, if you're reading this blog you are a partisan -- a partisan for great art. And Wednesday, October 1st, some of the greatest artists in the art world will be showing their work in a benefit for Barack Obama at Art for Hope.
This one-night-only benefit will donate the proceeds of the evening ($25 per person at the door) to the Obama Victory Fund. Go to the Merry Karnowsky Gallery in LA from 7-10 PM to enjoy the art of Mark Ryden, the Clayton Brothers, Shepard Fairey, Camille Rose Garcia, Marion Peck, Seonna Hong, and more amazing artists.

Mark Ryden and Marion Peck Book - Still Available
The new children's book Sweet Wishes is still available at Porterhouse. Written and illustrated by Mark Ryden and Marion Peck, the 56 page book is hard covered, full color and measures 11.25" x 9.5". There are two version available - the $20 open edition, and the $300 special edition, which comes in a two-pieced pink satin box. Included in the set is the Sweet Wishes picture book, a DVD of the Sweet Wishes movie and a Sweet Wishes bookmark. This special edition book has a vellum page that is signed by the authors and numbered.
That special edition won't be around long...

Two New Group Shows at Sloan Fine Art

Alix Sloan and her amazing gallery New York Sloan Fine Art opens not one great group show this Wednesday, but TWO great group shows. You get two for the price of one!
In the main room is "Love is a Cannibal," curated by Becky Smith, owner of Bellwether, New York. The show will feature works by Tyler Coburn, Jesse Finley Reed, and David Benjamin Sherry. Each of these artists will present photographic works.
Meanwhile, in the gallery's two other rooms, a Summer Salon will begin, with a rotating show in four parts with works by over twenty artists. Each mini-exhibition will be on display for two weeks. The first part will feature work by Jud Bergeron, Peter Drake, Caitlin Masley, Marion Peck, Kristen Schiele, Aaron Smith and Trevor Young. And later in the summer, participating artists will include Eric White, Jean-Pierre Roy, and others. Sounds like the summer of love in NYC.

Sloan Fine Art's Stunning Part II Opening

Alix Sloan and her new Sloan Fine Art Gallery have put together a truly remarkable opening in two parts. Part I included, among others, The Clayton Brothers, Elizabeth (Liz) McGrath, Aaron Smith and Eric White in a fantastic gallery opening show by anyone's estimation. Now Part II not only reaches the heights of the first half of the show, but somehow manages to exceed them. Check out this line-up:
Mark Ryden, Joe Sorren, Marion Peck, sculptor Jud Bergeron, and slightly newer-comers Andrea Aversa and Jean-Pierre Roy. And the works are of course, eye-poppingly beautiful. Alix Sloan again shows that her excellent taste and breadth of experience makes for an important new gallery on the scene. Not much more to say but enjoy the images.
