AKUwear and Thorsten Hasenkamm

German-based artist Thorsten Hasenkamm has appeared in over 20 group shows in the last four years, and now he can appear on your chest. At least his art can. Mr. Hasenkamm's colorful, cartoon-like style (and we mean cartoony in the best way, of course) often have a retro flair, and much of his work fits comfortably in the Tiki category (probably why he was featured in Tiki expert Otto von Stroheim's Tiki tome Tiki Art Now!).

In 2006, Mr. Hasenkamm began designing for AKUwear, an urban clothing line with tiki influences. AKUwear offers both limited edition t-shirts and prints by Mr. Hasenkamm. Each t-shirt is limited to 250 pieces, and the exact number of each tee is stitched into the sleeve. The prices in are in Euros (49.90 each for the tees), so if you live in America you'd better by them before the dollar shrinks in value any further (which is happening, um, right now).
