Mr. MacDowell brings a wild new vision to the world of Pop Surrealism, or whatever we want to call it this month. Mr. MacDowell takes a cup of pop culture, two tablespoons of satire, a few handfuls of vivid colors, sautes it in gorgeous technique, and then throws the whole thing in blender. What comes out is a satisfying meal of funny and thought-provoking art.
